These songs took on all sorts of guises and meanings for me over the 2-3 years of writing and recording them. The title track, ‘Set Me Down’, still holds a particular irony as I wrote it about moving away from home, but completed it and wrote its companion ‘Low Light’ after moving out of London and back to the north east of Scotland, where I would go on to spend nearly 2 years in my childhood home, under the multiple lockdowns and undulating days of Covid. What’s more, releasing an EP in 2020 meant I threw myself into learning to do my own press shots and music videos, all of which you can find dotted around this website.
